Shivu R H is a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience in the field of DevOps, Big Data ecosystem, and Data Pipeline, Build Pipeline. He has fulfilled various roles like DevOps, SRE, Architect, and Sr Operations Engineer. Shivu has addressed issues in the area of deployment, performance, and security, and brought in improvements and stability to the production environment. Currently working as a Sr DevOps at Uptycs, Inc., Shivu has extensive experience working with AWS, Jenkins, Github, Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Ansible, SOC2 Compliance, and CIS. He has built teams from scratch and mentored colleagues at various stages of their careers. Shivu has previously worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Qubole, where he was responsible for the Qubole control-plane at the cloud (multi-cloud & multi-region). He managed the deployment, support, and release management, and was also involved in code reviewing, production environment stability, and deployment process improvement. Shivu also has experience in production incident management, monitoring/metric implementation, security, automation/scripting, project planning, execution & tracking, and mentoring. As an Architect for BigData System at Datametica, Shivu was responsible for Big Data/Hadoop Infrastructure, configuration tune-up for optimal use, data pipeline streamlining to deliver under SLA, cluster performance enhancement as per use case, AWS, Docker, Jenkin, code review, design code commit policies, infrastructure automation, and production environment design and implementation. He also consulted on product design, security, support DWH operations, package manager (YUM repo), and POCs. Shivu holds a BE in Computer Science & Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
